Body Part Collection is an installation that invites the audience into the intimate, vulnerable, and often playful world of people’s fantasies.
The project began with a question: how can I create a space where people feel safe enough to share their intimacy with me?
Each encounter starts with an invitation, the guest is asked, “Which part of your body excites you the most?” From there, they enter a softly lit room where every detail of the scenography is designed for comfort and trust. In this calm space, the chosen body part is cast while a conversation about sexuality, desire, and self-perception unfolds.
With full consent, these conversations are recorded and later presented alongside the sculptures.
The resulting collection appears at first as a series of classical body casts, smooth, still, and sculptural. Yet when the viewer leans in, they hear voices: nervous laughter, confessions, and tender reflections about what makes that body part special. The contrast between the timeless stillness of the sculptures and the living, human stories they hold transforms the installation into a shared exploration of vulnerability.
This project consists of two spaces. One is the exhibition area, where visitors encounter the sculpture itself. The other is the space where this collection was created, a room designed for comfort, privacy, and intimacy. As the scenographer, my role is to ensure this environment is carefully curated and nurturing. This space invites participants to step into a different world, free from outside judgments, allowing them to feel open, safe, and present. the role of SPACE is essential.
