Let’s Talk About Consent invites passersby into a shared moment of intimacy, right in the middle of public space. This participatory installation centers around one deceptively simple act: sitting down with a stranger and negotiating consent through the placement of stickers on the body. How many? Where? Who decides? Together, artist and participant navigate these micro-decisions, sparking conversations that are as personal as they are political.
Through guided interaction, a photograph is captured, becoming both an archive of consent. Each encounter becomes a tactile, visual, and emotional imprint of how we understand, negotiate, and embody consent.
At its core, the work explores how private conversations can become public intimate performances. Can intimacy be staged? Can vulnerability be shared and witnessed without losing its power? This project challenges boundaries between artist and audience, private and public, inviting viewers not just to observe, but to engage to make this conversations part of a day to day.
By transforming everyday gestures into moments of collective reflection, Let’s Talk About Consent opens up space for new, critical dialogues about how we relate to one another in public, in art, and in life.
